Dr Wendy Wright with Rose, her 9 year old heeler mix.
Dr Wright has practiced in the greater Richmond area since 2003. She is a graduate of Colorado State University's School of Veterinary Medicine. Veterinary medicine is a second career for her and she couldn't be happier in her chosen field. Dr Wright says, "I really can't see myself doing anything else--I love medicine, I love my patients, and I love working with staff and clients who share the love of companion animals!"
Providing the best medical recommendations for each individual patient in her care is her guiding principle. Preventative medicine is the focus of her practice: preventing disease and early identification and treatment of conditions result in healthier, happier and longer lives for our family pets.
Dr Wright lives with six dogs, four cats, and one husband. When not working (!!), she is an avid reader, gardener, and enjoys needlecrafts and travel. She has an especial interest in Civil War history--which is one of the reasons she came to Virginia--and in classic movies, especially black and white film noir.
